i setup a win XP 64-bit VM using all of the defaults in Parallels v4. all setup and worked fine.
ran upgrade to Vista Home Premium 64-bit. again all setup and working.
looking in the configuration settings i believe i need to change the os version to Vista but this option is greyed out and not available to change.
other things i cannot change are:

    Under General:
name of the VM, OS type, OS Version

    Under Boot Order:
    boot order

    Under startup and shutdown:
    Enable undo disks
    "On Shutdown" pull down menu

    Under services:
Automatically capture and release the mouse pointer

    Under CPU:
    Number of CPUs
    System Flags

    Under Video:
Adjust the host computer's screen resolution in full screen
    Enable 3D acceleration

i ran windows tests and windows seems to perform with decent results except for the video performance which is not very good.

any idea why these controls are locked out?
