Last night I tried to get windows on ma mac and I do everything right. I put in the disk and then it says this:

Parallels Desktop is unable to operate properly since it cannot communicate with one of its drivers. Seems that drivers are inconsistent with the currently installed version of Parallels Desktop. To overcome this issue, reinstall Parallels Desktop and start it by selecting Finder->Applications->Parallels->Parallels.

Anyone know why this is happening bcz i got alot of gaming to do. RYL2 lol. But i cant do that if paralles wont let me. Plz help me out:confused:

    Thx (only if u answer)lol

Ummm... I'm having a bit of trouble understanding you due to the overuse of "chatspeak".

I would guess from the error message that you did not reboot after installing Parallels. The installer does not force it, but Parallels will not work unless you reboot after installing it.

Also, be aware: Parallels does not support 3d acceleration at this time, most (if not all) games will not run in a VM.

This was the message that I got:

Parallels Desktop is unable to operate properly since it cannot communicate with one of its drivers. Try to restart the application to overcome this issue. If restart doesn't help, re-install Parallels Desktop. Note that Parallels drivers require a short time to be properly started and initialized. So you may need to wait a minute before trying to launch the application.

To solve the problem, all I did was re-install the Parallels program (without even having to perform an uninstall), and it worked fine right after. I had to update the software after the re-install. None of my WindowsXP OS files were altered or lost in any way.
