Just restored from a Time Machine backup and now need to recover from a Parallels Desktop VM snapshot. I've done this in the past, and the restored OS worked perfectly after the restore. Now, I can't seem to find my snapshot. In the Parallels Desktop Control Center, it shows Widows 10 with a 'question mark (?)." When I right click it, it only shows "Remove" as an option, there is no restore from snapshot option. I know my Desktop was making snapshots, but I cannot find the files. Any ideas?
Hi, Your Virtual Machine .pvm file may be missing due to changed location. Location of .pvm file may have been changed by accident or Parallels Desktop cannot locate this file after a major upgrade or re-installation. In order to fix this behaviour try to search your Virtual Machine in Spotlight with it's name and .pvm extension: In case no .pvm file is found, open Terminal application from Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal and run the following command: open ~/Library/Parallels/ If you still cannot find .pvm, please check in Trash folder.
