This is driving me nuts. I have Parallels 5/WinXP/Snow Leopard. Every time I type the @ symbol I get quotes (") instead. I have made sure the keyboard is United Kingdom and even deleted the US keyboard. I have the same set up at home running Parallels 5 on a MacPro, and I don't have this problem EXCEPT on my MacBook Pro where I am running VMWare. I have hunted everywhere for a solution and I know it's a box I need to check or uncheck so if anyone knows which setting to change I would be very grateful! Thanks Drew
The KB approach did not work for me (Macbook Air, Win 7 guest OS): the setup.exe does not run and installing the keyboard driver directly fails to add it to the selectable list of keyboards.
It worked for me. Did you do the Leopard disk reinstall thing - tools etc? I now have the keys the right way round! Hallelujah!
I got it to work but only by reinstalling the OS. I did this the manual way rather than letting Parallels handle the whole installation. That way I could install Boot Camp 3.0 from the SL disk straight after the installation, before installing the Tools. Then I upgraded to Boot Camp 3.1. It appears that the Tools installation puts something on the VM that stops the installation of Boot Camp from the SL disk. All working ok now, anyway. As you say, Hallelujah! t.
