    I'm running:
    Host
    * Parallels Desktop Pro for Mac, v. 12.2.0
    * MacOS Sierra v. 10.12.5
    Guest
    * Windows 10
    Network settings:
    * Shared Networking
    From the host, I am able to
    * ping the guest (10.211.55.5)
    From the guest, I am able to
    * access the internet
    * ping the host DHCP server (10.211.55.1)
    The one thing I cannot do is ping the host (10.211.55.2) from the guest.
    Context
    This is vital for me, because I am attempting to use the Xamarin tools for Visual Studio with emulators running on the Mac host. I have been following the guidance at https://developer.xamarin.com/guide...estions/connect-android-emulator-mac-windows/. I have attempted several different methods to communicate between host and guest, none of which I have been able to get to work.

    I have searched for solutions quite a bit both here and on the rest of the internet.

    We would like to know from which DHCP server your Host Mac OS is getting the IP address. You can also try changing the network mode to bridged then check if you can ping guest and host then vice versa.

    The host's DHCP server address is 192.168.1.1
    I switched to Bridged Networking using the default adapter. I was unable either to ping the host from the guest or to ping the guest from the host. I was able to access the internet on the guest.
