I have never felt so stupid in all my life as I feel right now trying to get simple things to work in XP with Parallels on my MAC. Tomorrow I will once again attempt to get my printer working. This time by downloading Bonjour and following instructions from another thread. In the meantime I have no idea why a cannot write a Windows 2003 Word file to a dvd-rw. I says that I do not have priviledges, however, I am using my own laptop on which I am the only user and that I just installed parallels and Windows XP on. Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated.
Also, since I couldn't get my printer to work and could not copy my file to a dvd-rw, I thought that I could cut and paste the word file to iword, but this did not work. I ended up retyping the entire document. Maybe I have brain drain from dealing with this whole installation process, or was there a simple way to pull the file from word to iworks.

Writing to CD / DVD will come in later versions. It is not implemented yet!

Is there any reason that you could not use the shared folder features in Parallels, or use SMB/Samba/Windows filesharing between the VM and your Mac to move the word file to the mac side?

I have heard some rumors of shared files breaking under heavy devoloper use, but for simply copying files back and forth it should do the trick.
