Hello, I'm running WIN 7 and WIN 8.1 in VM with Parallels 10.1.2 and Yosemite 10.10.1. Hibernate is working fine with WIN 7, but with WIN 8.1 it's not possible to activate the hibernate option, because this option doesn't show in the energy options for shutting down. Any Ideas? Thanks a lot for your any help! Kind Regards Chris
Hi Chris, please follow the steps suggested below: 1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box. 2. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator. 3. When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue. 4. At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate on, and then press Enter. 5. Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window. Now check whether the hibernate option enabled or not.
