I have PD10 (but the same was the case with 10.6.8 and 9) with two VMs - XPSP3 and Vista (I know...). Anyway, I can connect to the internet thru Parallels just fine, but cannot thru XP! When I look at "Network Connections" in the Control Panel, it lists Name: "Local Area Connection" Type: "LAN or High-Speed Internet" Status: "Network cable unplugged" Device Name: "Parallels Ethernet Adapter" Phone # or Host Address: (null/blank) Owner: "System" What's odd is that I'm using a wireless router. And, as I say, in Vista I have no problems connecting thru Parallels... When I do an XP Network Diagnostics scan, there are NO Network Adapters listed! (Just for smiles, I have another Mac running Parallels 7, with XPSP3 as well, and it connects fine, and can find the Network Adapter just fine.) HELP???
Hi GavinoV, Please try re-installing Parallels Tools, refer to this article, http://kb.parallels.com/4841 If the issue persist, try installing Parallels Tools manually, http://kb.parallels.com/112609 For Network troubleshooting, refer to this article, http://kb.parallels.com/8978
Btw, the most promising is the step from KB with network stack reset: netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset reset.log
