I am running Window XP on Parallels 5 on my Macbook Pro (I have OSX version 10.5.8), and can't connect the the internet in Parallels. The error report number is 1356805. I've seen a lot of questions about this, but none of the solutions that I've tried has worked. My internet provider is U-Want Internet, a british internet provider that works exclusively with UNITE student housing. It requires a username and password to access. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I can connect fine on my mac. I've tried everything that I know to try, and running out of hope.

Try to enable DHCP for the network adapter in Windows. After you will enable it, the settings should become
    ip: 10.211.55.x
    netmask: 255.255.255.0
    gateway: 10.211.55.1
    dns: 10.211.55.1

Please send one more problem report if after switching to DHCP Windows doesn't get an IP or networking still doesn't work
