    Hello everyone,
I have a new macbook and Parallels installed (yesterday). Unfortunately when it asks to put in Win XP CD to install it, the virtual machine shows that it can't open CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive. So I can't start Windows installation. I don't know why - there's everything ok in the settings. It shows the window that it can't open CD/DVD-ROM (it doesn't even try - I tried with two different Win XP CDs).
The strange thing is, that when I click the little CD icon at the botton of Virtual Machine, it shows CD disabled checked and it's not active (lighter grey), so I can't uncheck it :(

Win XP is very important for my work :( I aprreciate any help!

    Thank you very much,

    Mark

stop the VM, go into the properties (in Edit > Configuration) and enable it in there.
