[I copied this post into the right category (Ancient one was in installation on mac OS X)] Hello everybody, I just got my copy of Parallels desktop 5 and I'm pleased with the virtual machines. Nevertheless I tried to use my bootcamp partition with PD5, but after a while waiting during the setup I get this message : "You need to manually continue the process of configuring the "My Boot Camp" virtual machine. To continue with the configuration, log in to your Windows virtual machine. If you have the CD autorun option enabled, the configuration will resume automatically. Otherwise, open My Computer and run the setup.exe file located on your CD, ignoring any Windows messages. For more information on configuring your virtual machines, visit the configuration page on the Parallels website." When i click ok, my machine is in the DOS, "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: insert disk.. repair computer. Status: 0xc000000e Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible." with option continue (hit enter) and then a new screen with 2 options : "launch the system restart tool (recommended)" (<--translation) or "start Windows normally" The system restart tool makes me loop into the previous "Windows failed to start" screen. so there's no issue there. I don't know what to do, because everytime i try to relaunch the virtual machine with my CD, it restarts the setup, without letting me access the installation disc.. When I restart my computer and log in the real bootcamp partition, I have to repair it with the disc, and everything works fine, but it all starts again. nothing changed.. Does anybody have a clue on this problem ? I'm using bootcamp 3.1 with Windows 7 RC Ultimate 32-bit installed on it. My hardware: late 2009 27" iMac intel core i7 8Go of RAM Snow leopard V10.6.2 PS: sorry for my english, I'm from Switzerland EDIT: When I try to "Start windows normally" , I can see the windows 7 flag for a few seconds and than comes a BSOD with the following indications : (I Attached the screen capture of the BSOD) (I also reported the problems ID 4149680)
