Hi, I have one VM with a trial of windows 8 home that I have created to test Parallels Desktop for mac. I installed it by downloading an ISO from Microsoft's website and it works fine. Today I tried to instal a new VM with windows 8.1 pro, using the same 64bit ISO I've used before, and got stuck early in the process, in the dreaded "no images are available" (see screenshot). Nothing I've found here helped and I ended up downloading ISOs for windows 8 32 bit and for windows 10 and they all got stuck in the same "no images are available" screen, which is really abnormal. Any idea what might be wrong? Thanks!
Hello Ana, I suggest you follow this article but in step 4 uncheck the Express Installation and continue the installation. Please install Parallels Tools after Windows is installed. Thanks, Ajith M.
AnaM did you get a solution? I'm trying to get my first VM up and it has been running for 3 hours (second attempt). I posted a thread for it but no one has responded. How hard was your first install?
Hi DaveH6, if you are installing your virtual machine using a CD/DVD or an image file (ISO), please follow the steps in the article given here and check how it goes.
