I keep getting a memory error when I try to install SP2 on my XP VM. I can load XP from my CD and do two updates before Windows allows me to install SP2. Every time I get 75% thru the SP2 install, it gives me the same memory error and then the whole install goes to crap. "The instruction at "0x77f82759" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program." I'm installing on a MacBook Pro. I started with the Windows Express option and I have updated to Parallels 3188. Also, I plan to install Quicken after I get the update correct. How does parallels know how much harddrive space it needs? Does it add space as it needs it? Thanks, Stefan
Problems installing SP2 I was having exactly the same error, so started from a clean install of XP (with SP1) and then ran the .exe for SP2 installation from the MS site before any of the other XP auto updates, and all working fine now! Cheers, Ben
