I am running parallels build 4560 and am trying to upgrade to windows vista ultimate and it wont let me.

It says "This computer is not compliant with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard. Windows must be installed onto a computer that supports ACPI. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update or install Windows on an ACPI-compliant computer."

now what does that mean and what can i do?

    thanks

    Hello.

    Please do the following:
    1. Stop your VM.
    2. Connect your Vista installation DVD to VM.
    3. Actions -> Prepare Windows Vista Upgrade.
    4. Now you can upgrade to Vista.
