Can't install Windows 7 Upgrade to Win XP

    I'm trying to upgrade my Windows XP to Windows 7 on Parallels 8. When I try to run/open the setup.exe file, it reports that setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application. This is true whether i try the 64 bit disk or the 32 bit disk.

    If I try a new virtual machine install it fails because the key is for an upgrade only.
