Hi everyone, I have this problem and I can't figure out how to fix it. Any help would be very welcome.

I am not sure which version of the kernel I was running before, but I got a notification about Parallels upgrade. I upgraded it, and then I dist-upgraded my Kubuntu. My kernel is now 3.0.0-19-generic. Latest version o Parallels 7.

I started getting the hang on unable to mount "press M or S to skip", my system was completely locked and I couldn't get past any mount. I need my VM for work, and the only way I managed to get past that was by commeting out this line in
    /etc/fstab

    #none /media/psf prl_fs sync,nosuid,nodev,noatime,share,nofail 0 0

However, now I can't connect any cdrom / usb to the guest machine. The solution everyone proposes as first fix is to reinstall parallel tools. When I try, I fail to mount the CDROM (it sayd /dev/sr0 has a job pending; umount doesn't do anything).

Has anyone been in this predicament?

    Thanks for any help.
