Hi. I just installed Parallels on my wife's new MacBook Pro. There were no problems with the install of either Parallels or Windows 7. I then installed Office 2007 that my wife was using before her previous laptop died. Again - no problems. I then tried to open up her previous .pst file in outlook, and I keep getting an error message that the file is not a personal folders file. I can take the same file to another laptop we have (Windows) and the file opens just fine under both Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2007. I've even tried exporting some new .pst files from the Windows laptops, but those files still won't open on the MacBook under Parallels.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? This is a huge issue for my wife and a potential deal-breaker for the laptop. I should mention that Outlook under Parallels is running just fine and she is getting and sending mail using the PST file that was set up by default when the program installed.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

    Larry

I just figured it out. The .pst file has to be on the Windows side in the Windows directly. As soon as I put it over there, it opens just fine. I did have it stored in the "Documents" folder on the Mac side. Once I moved it all was well.
