When using any Office 2007 application, i.e. Word, Excel etc. any attempt to save to a local drive, e.g. C on ComputerName results in the following error message being displayed: There has been a network or file permission error. The network connection may be lost. Followed by the path and filename in brackets, e.g. (\\tsclient\C\doc1.docx). On examining the save location, I can see that the file is created but contains 0 bytes. This problem also occurs when try to save to network drives via the local computer but does not occur when saving directly to network drives, e.g \\ServerName\ShareName\Filename.extension. Any ideas anyone?
Just to clarify - we don't have any problems saving from other applications, so I'm not sure how the problem could be related to security permissions or group policy.
PROBLEM SOLVED PROBLEM SOLVED Discovered that the problem only affected some computers. After more investigation, realised that the problem computers had a different version of the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client installed (version 6.0.6000). The working computers had an earlier version (5.2). Found an update on the Microsoft web site (version 6.0.6001) - installed this on the problem computer - can now save from Office 2007 OK.
