I'm running Parallels 4.0 build 3846 on a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard. I have two VMs, one is Windows XP Pro SP3, the Other is Ubuntu 8.10. The XP vm works perfectly. The Ubuntu vm, however, can't see Windows network drives. In the file browser if I click on network, I see two entries, one is the machine name for my MacBook Pro. If I click on that, I get a login screen and can access the OS X file system. The other entry is Windows Network. If I click on that, it shows HADEN (my network workgroup) and WORKGROUP. I have no idea why WORKGROUP shows up. If I click on HADEN, the heading shows "Windows Shares on HADEN", but nothing shows up in the main window. Since I'm new to Ubuntu, can someone help me figure out why the files in my Windows network don't show up as Windows shares? Any help would be appreciated.
