I have windows 2000 running on parallels and tried to install a program which froze windows... now i can't shut it down. If I run parallels, i get the blue screen that says "windows is shutting down" although after letting it run for several minutes, it's not shutting down. Since ctrl-alt-delete doesn't work, how do i get it to shut down?
    Thanks!
Also, in an unrelated question, when I run the updates, how do i reinstall parallels tools in the guest machine?

    Hello,

Please, have a look at Parallels Desktop menu at the top of the display -> Actions -> Stop virtual machine.

As for Tools updates - they should be reinstalled automatically when you first launch the virtual machine after upgrade.
It they aren't - than go to the same PD menu -> Actions -> Install Parallels Tools
