I have PDT 3.0 3188 installed - however, it does not work in Coherence mode (nothing happens - it just acts as if I never requested to switch). I wanted to upgrade to the latest build to see if that would fix it, but after installing the latest build, I am unable to upgrade my VM. I click "Convert" and it simply reports "Can't convert VM due to a disk error."

Any ideas on how to resolve either issue?

    Thanks.

You have the option of trying the beta build of Parallels, the new Parallels Image Tool might be able to convert your disk even if Parallels itself can't. The issue with Coherence could be because you do not have Parallels Tools installed, to install it select "Install Parallels Tools..." from the "Actions" menu while Windows is running.

Parallels Tools was running in the Guest OS, but I decided to try installing it again, just for kicks. Surprise - the installer informed me that it was running an older, incompatible version. I got this laptop from corporate IT and I figured they had set everything up properly. That'll teach me!

I am now happily using Coherence with build 3188. Thanks!

I downloaded the latest beta version and I am still unable to use my existing VM. I tried PIT and it simply says "Parallels Image Tool cannot process the virtual hard disk image file."

It runs fine under 3188 but I am stuck at that version, can't upgrade at all past it and keep using this VM apparently. Help!
