I'm unable to activate my account because the product license key isn't where it's supposed to be (or more likely, I've screwed up). Either way, without an activated account, I can't contact Support to help me find the license key. I'm running Parallels 5 on Mac OS 10.6.8. The supposed location for the license key is described at: http://kb.parallels.com/5680 So the Catch-22 is this: As far as I can tell, Parallels won't help me activate my account unless I first activate my account. If true, that's outrageous! Is there any other to contact support or get assistance on this issue? Thanks much
Hello Jonathan1000, It is not required to have a Parallels Desktop key in order to activate an account at parallels.com. I have just checked your account, it is confirmed and valid. Please create a free support request to customer service: http://www.parallels.com/support/request/ You will be prompted to log into your account if you were not logged in previously. Please select 'Customer Service and Licensing' category from the first drop-down list. Then select 'Parallels Desktop' as a product. Please note that you do not need to have a support code to create such a request.
Hi Alexandra, and thanks much for your help. I regret my description of the issue wasn't more complete. I was asking about account activation because I can't submit a support request without a Support Code, and the Support Code is apparently supposed to accompany account activation. I appreciate the link you supplied, but without a Support Code I'm locked out of the system. As far as I can tell, I can't even contact support to tell them I need a Support Code. Dear Jonathan1000, A support code is only generated if you register a Parallels Desktop activation key under your account, please find more information in this article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/6837 And this article explains how to register your activation key: http://kb.parallels.com/111763 You can submit a support request without any support code as my colleague described above. Support Code is only required if you submit a support request for Technical Support.
