I just got the most recent version of Parallels and haven't been able to install CentOS 5.0 as a guest OS. If I use the DVD of CentOS 5.0, the install hangs at "Searching for CentOS Installations...." If I use the CDs of CentOS 5.0, the install hangs a few minutes after switching to CD #2. There are no error messages, just a frozen system. Although on the DVD install, the mouse pointer animation continues. These are default Red Hat Linux VMs. I've looked through the forum and have tried every solution offered. I disabled the floppy drive and sound. Same results. I did a "linux agp=off" as suggested and was unsuccessful. I also did media tests on both the CD versions and the DVD. I have also installed the OS on machines using both these media before. Are there any general hints on installing CentOS 5? It is listed as a supported guest OS, so I was hoping it wouldn't be this big of a headache. I was going to look into downloading the already built images, but the fact that it was 6 rar files and 2 of the download options were invalidated due to TOS violations hasn't filled me with much confidence. Any help would be appreciated! --SSellers
