We've lost the ability to install FileMaker Pro software in Parallels Desktop 20 for Mac v20.1.1, which is running within macOS 15.1 on a 14" MacBook Pro M1 Pro. This has been independently verified within our FileMaker forum by another user who has the same problem.

We have tested the latest FileMaker 2024 installer released earlier this week, plus the 2 previous installers that were used to successfully install in the past. None of the 3 installers work in v20.1.1.

Parallels is running Windows 11 Pro 23H2, so we tested an Intel Core i5 PC also running 23H2 where the installer worked without a problem. Also, we've tested a colleague's MacBook Pro 16" M1 Pro which is still running Parallels Desktop 19 for Mac v19.4.1 (54985) and Windows 11 Pro 24H2 and the FileMaker Pro installer works fine.

All tests were carried out without anti-virus software running.

The most common symptom is that the installer usually launches, albeit sometimes doesn't but reappears after a Windows restart, progresses beyond the language selector, displays the FileMaker Pro Setup window and then results in the installer remaining 'Not Responding' as per the attached. We've left this for an hour and it still doesn't progress.
