    Hi

Are there any plans to make a clientless version by using an embedded java client within the web browser?

This would make life so much easier for us - not have to regularly upgrade 100's of machines for instance. Not having to setup the client for home users...etc

We deal with other IT specialists where it is not within their company policies to use the 2x client so means we have to allow old fashioned RDP connections too therefore we are losing the benifits we gain with 2x such as load balancing.

If this is not already planned into the roadmap can it be added with a HIGH priority?

If any other users wish for this feature please post so that 2X see's how much call there is for it.

    Regards
    Mike

    Hi there,

In version 6.1 the Web portal can detect if 2X Client is installed..
When the client is not there, it downloads and install it client.

The MSI (Client installation) is also capable of doing a User installation, so administrators do not need to install the client.

Regarding the embedded java client, it is already in the road map, but there are no target dates yet..

    Any update

    Hi

Can you tell me if this feature is planned into the roadmap yet.

This would be of great benefit to us and we are patiently waiting for it.

    Regards

I second this request. In healthcare it is becoming common place for physicians to want to access their in-house IT systems from remote locations, hospitals being high on the list. Requiring a local client installation prevents us from deploying in these environments. An ActiveX control or even a downloadable MSI that can perform a zero footprint install would be terrific. We use a product for remote desktop access which downloads and runs a stand alone exe as it's client and leaves behind no trace once the session is terminated.

In a related note, to get closer to this goal now, is there any way to modify the MSI with ORCA to force the equivalent of a silent install? If not, can the web client TuxClientDetection.jar be modified to invoke a silent install or does the installer run simply because we are downloading an MSI file?

    Thanks
