I've been having intermittent problems with the clipboard; I reported these, but I know that intermittent bugs are harder to diagnose than bugs that can be reproduced easily, so I tried figuring out what series of steps would reliably result in the clipboard failure. To do this, I launched the Windows XP clipboard monitor program (C:\WINDOWS\system32\clipbrd.exe) so that I could see what was happening with the clipboard as I tried various things. I first verified that the clipboard monitor was working by launching Notepad on Windows, typing something, selecting it, and copying it to the clipboard; I then confirmed that the text appeared in the clipboard monitor. Then I switched to Mac OS X, launched TextEdit, typed something, selected it, copied it. When I then returned to Windows XP, the clipboard monitor was hanging, and any attempt to paste into an other application (e.g. Notepad) would cause that application to hang as well. Here are the questions I'm hoping a Parallels support engineer will answer in the response to this bug report: Q: Can you duplicate the behavior I'm reporting? Q: Do you agree that this is a bug? Q: What is the current schedule for fixing this bug?
same issue I was able to duplicate the issue! It is very frustrating. No point in using Parallels without being able to do simple cut/copy and paste functions!!!!
