New to apple 2011 imac owner with parallels 6 installed...I used transporter via network to move dell vista OS and all the other stuff to imac....when i start the vista program in parallels, I get a screen that says "please wait while the vm is configured...".

After a period of time a screen appears that states "you need to log in to windows to complete configuring your vm"...when I click ok, there is a windows screen that states "your computer is unable to start...startup repair is checking your system for problems"....when I get out of this screen, the configuration screen that I started with appears and the process starts all over again. I have the vista disc and key.

My goal is to have the windows side run under windows 7. I have a new windows 7 oem disc that installs w/o any problem in a new vm.

Is it possible to clone the vista vm (without vista?) on to the windows 7 vm? If so, can you point to some very specific instructions on cloning?
