Coherence mode appears to be making assumptions about the size of the system menubar. I use the utility menufela [ninjakitten.com] that hides the menubar, freeing up extra pixels. The problem is that Parallels in coherence mode will not use those extra pixels. If I maximize a Windows window, it won't reach the top of the screen, and instead leaves a blank space where the menubar normally would be.

[Edit: It looks like I was mistaken. I cycled from coherence to full screen to widowed and back to coherence, and now Windows windows will fill the screen. The issue seems to be one of timing. The menubar hasn't yet hidden when coherence mode first asks for the desktop size, thus getting an incorrect value. ]
