Coherence gives me the beachball

I finally installed 3094 (I was using 1970 previously), and it generally works great on my MBP except for one thing: When I press Ctrl-Alt-Shift, which is supposed to put it in "coherence" mode, the Parallels/Windows screen freezes and I just get the spinning beachball. The only way out is to Force Quit Parallels.

I see Parallels, and any open Windows apps, in the OS X dock. I can use other OS X apps, but the entire Parallels app is frozen.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks.
