I have Parallels 11.1.1/Windows 7/OS X El Capitan and have been using Parallels for years. All of a sudden I am unable to access Coherence mode and I'm getting an error once Windows opens that "Windows cannot access \\Mac\Home\Desktop."

I have tried reinstalling Parallels Tools. The installation starts, I get the Installation Agent dialog box with percentage rising, then I get a dialog box stating, "There was a problem updating Parallels Tools. Please restart Windows and try again. If this doesn't help, click here for more troubleshooting solutions." I have also restarted Windows and my Mac multiple times but the issues persist.

    Any help will be appreciated!

Hello Julie, it might have caused due to the wrong permission of the .pvm. Please shut down virtual machine and run first aid from Disk Utility and restart your Mac and let us know how it works. Thanks!
