As the title states I run two WinXP VMs simultaneously in Coherence for work on top of Mac OSX 10.5.8. I was hoping I could get some ideas to improve performance, as often times it acts very sluggish. I run important financial software that has low hardware requirements, but I generally have 10-15 windows open in each VM. When there are multiple screens popping up it gets very sluggish in coherence, where in windowed mode its usually perfectly fine.

My computer - Mac Pro 2 x 2.66ghz Dual Core Xeon, 16GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB card, and brand new 250gb OCZ solid state hard drive.

    My VM Config

Optimization - Hypervision enabled, opt performance for VM, power consumption for better performance
Shared Profile, Application, Shared Folders, Smartmount, Smartguard turned off
Coherence - group all, disable drop shadow, do not min windows to dock checked, bring notifications off
CPU - 1, only because I'm a former Fusion user and they had issues with multiple processors. Should I change?
Memory - 2gb/vm. I have 16gb total, so could increase if recommended
Video - 128mb, adjust host computer off, enable 3d acceleration on
CD ROM, Parallel Port, USB all off
    Network Bridged

The only other thing I can think of is that I converted my Fusion VMs over using the transporter, so maybe a fresh install would be best. However since my XP disc is pre SP1 when I try to install a clean VM it usually gets stuck during setup, which I now understand is a bug that has been mentioned here which I never found a fix for.
