Hello, I've tried running Company of Heroes 2 through Parallel via Steam and the game will initially load up. It will go through the video at the start and to the menu screen, but when you try to play the actual game it begins to load and then just stops half way, usually resulting in Parallel rebooting or just sitting there. I have version 8, running windows 7. Is there a setting i could change or has anyone got this working. Regards A
I have the same. Also doing a performance test will not start. At about 70% of the loading, it just hangs. I see my SSD is writing at about 90-100MB/s, and after about 2/3 minutes it shows a message that the game has crashed, and I should describe what I did so I can send it to the makers of CoH2.
Don't get your hopes up guys. It WONT work. "We see that the game requires DirectX 11 card to get installed and to work without any issues, but Parallels Desktop by default has only DirectX 10 and it will identify your physical Graphic Card which have in Mac, because by default Parallels works with Parallels Video adapter (WDDM). Hence, you will not able to run this particular game on your Windows 7 Operating System running on your Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac."
I have a new Macbook Pro Retina - I tried increasing my CPUs to 2 and giving 512Mb of video RAM - I still get the attached error message when I try to run Company of Heroes 2 (which doesn't make reference to Direct X 11). Anyone got an idea how this might be fixed?
I have managed to get CoH2 'working' but all the units and buildings are invisible now and I can't install a native Intel Iris driver to try to fix. Have tried different graphics settings but they don't seem to change things.
