I have a MacBook Pro Core Duo w/Boot Camp installed (Windows XP) as my guest OS. Everything worked fine in Boot Camp until I installed Parallels. Now when I restart directly in to Windows via Boot Camp the F1 and F2 keys cause the laptop to either shut down immediately (as if the power cord had been pulled) or freeze the entire OS forcing me to hold the Power button to power down and restart. Being a practical sort of fellow I really could just avoid using that key (I only restart into Windows to play Neverwinter Nights 2) . However, the screen is dim and I see no way to increase the brightness in Windows. Strangely, F4 and F5 work to control the volume just fine. Does anyone have any idea what may be happening to cause this? Thanks in advance.
