Compressor in 4.0 just hangs

Has anyone successfully compressed their hard disk in V4?

When I run compressor it just hangs on the second stage after the reboot.

 

Probably it's caused disk errors, please launch Windows and run in cmd (Start -> Run -> type cmd) chkdsk /f /r

 

I think I was "successful" at it. Well, compressor hung after the progress bar got to 100%. I waited a long tim. The disk icon (as seen in window mode) showed no disk activity inside the VM, so I took a chance and rebooted. The virtual disk is nice and small and everything in the guest XP OS seems to be working.

I guess I got lucky?

I have had compressor hang and die on me a few times as well, fortunately time machine has saved me, the compressor indicates that it will use "free space" and then just hangs, prl_vm_app takes up 100% CPU have let it run for 24+ hours and it has never returned, had to kill/abort revert back to a old copy of VM :-(
