My desktop has Maverick and I use boot camp with Windows 8.1 To create the virtual Windows machine I selected the choice for boot camp. A screen appears named "upgrading My Boot Camp" The installation stalls when it reads Preparing to configure your virtual machine: Another window says "You ned to log into Windows to complete configuring your virtual machine" When I press OK it then switches to a Recovery screen which say "It look like Windows did't load correctly"
If I press restart my PC, it all comes back to a circle. If I load Windows using boot camp rather than Parallels, I have not problems

    Hi Rupertc,

Please follow the steps provided below :

    - Once the Virtual Machine configure is completed.
    - Go to Configure of VM ( http://kb.parallels.com/117287 ) -> Hardware -> Boot Order -> Enter the following command without quotes in boot flags "vm.compat_level=2".

    Thanks,
    Abdul
