I have a Duo iMac with iSight running Vista. I am runnung the new RC3 software. My question is what do I do to use the camera in Vista?? iSight apppears in the Vista control panel but it says there is "no driver" loaded. From all the email I've read I cant trell if iSight works with XP and Visat or only XP etc... Also what Vista app - I presume I need one - would be a good easy way to use the camera in Vista. thanks APZ
This won't answer your question, but I own a Mac Pro and just bought the new $100 Logitech QuickCam Ultra which is one of the very few cameras that works under the new Intel Mac OSX. Problem is, through Vista in Parallels, it does not work. Very much as in your case, the drivers are downloaded and recognized by Vista, but it does not recognize that a camera is plugged in. I am getting the feeling that Parallels will not allow a webcam to run under Parallels -- but I am hoping someone proves me wrong on that.
Thanks for that info. Has anybody out there really got Vista to work with iSight??? If so I'd like to know the trick.
the current Apple drivers dont work in Vista as Bootcamp doesnt yet officially support Vista. You'll have to wait until they do.
If you boot directly into Boot Camp you can get the iSight to work (mine does) but I haven't gotten it to recognize in Parallels yet.
