Running XP Pro SP2 under build 3188. I was experiencing the same problem in build 1980 before upgrading. Keyspan software NOT installed in Mac environment, installed in Windows environment. Device Autoconnect OFF. When I connect the device, I get the ka-plunk sound indicating it's installed and ready, and sometimes I do get it to work for a few minutes, but it always eventually stops working and running the Keyspan test in Windows tells me it can't open the port. If I un-install and reboot in Windows, then re-install the Keyspan software in Windows, I can always get it to work the first time after installation for about 10 minutes. After that, it stops working, and I get the symptoms described in the previous paragraph. I also get the same symptoms as a complete deinstall/reinstall if I use the Keyspan Serial Assistant in Windows to delete all the COM port assignments, and then let it re-assign the ports when the device gets activated. Works first time for about 10 minutes, then stops working, and might sometimes again after a shutdown and restart of Windows. Any hope?
