    Hi all,
I'm a new member of this forum and also a rookie regarding using parallel desktop.
I bought my new macbook with 2gb memory and processor 2.4 intel core 2 duo and i install parallel desktop 3.0 build 5584.
After i install office i open an worksheet of excel more o less big 34 mb and all the data i have are in one sheet.
The problem start when i select all the data and when i press copy cause i want manipulate the date in a new worksheet but the excel freeze and i have to quit the application cause nothing is working...any idea what it can be??or how to solve this problem
btw the paraller is running with 1 gb memory
    thanks in advance

I DON't UNDERSTAND BUT TODAY IT WORKS....

...but it works sometimes! Can be a problem with the memory or the buffer?there is a way to check if the buffer where excel copy temporary data is full???......also I notice that excel on parallel start to copy all the data only if in MAC OS I open the microsoft excel for mac and it seems strange?!?can be a problem if I'm using for parallel desktop office 2000 with win XP and in MAC i have OS 10.5.2 with office 2004 for mac?
    thanks again

    which version of Office?
and is it Windows or Mac OS?

generally the microsoft usenet server is best for these questions

    see MACTOPIA http://www.microsoft.com/mac/default.mspx

    see

    and

If you use nntp you can use the microsoft server in the usual way

you posted this whilst I was writing
    probably an MS problem
Office 2004 should be able to open Office 2000 files but it may be a one way process

so ask the MS experts on the other groups

Thanks Hugh for the answer, my problem is when I'm working with MS Excel in WIN XP and as soon as i select all the big amount of data and press ctrl+c (to copy) the program just freeze and i have to quit the application and try again and again and like i say before seems it allow to copy the data only if in the mac environment is open excel and this is seems so strange, that's the reason why i ask if it can be a problem of buffer or cache or memory with parallel desktop or some kind of conflict between the 2 application.
    thanks
    Alessandro
