    Hey everyone,

The one Windows program that I need to run uses the most recent version SecuROM copy protection. I had gotten it to run fine in Bootcamp but not not in Parallels so I was excited when the 3106 beta came out that it would suposedly support all copy protected discs. I started from scratch and reinstalled everything but I still get the same "please insert the original cd instead of a backup" error message.

Has anyone else had similar experiences? Has anyone had more luck using SecuROM or other copy protected CDs with build 3106? Also, any thoughts on whether this could be a beta issue that will eventually be resolved with a future release or if this build is as "full-featured" of a cd drive as we can hope to get?

One last thing: does anyone know if the Paralels $29.99 phone support includes beta versions? I would be willing to pay the money if it would clear up this problem.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Mike

a quick scan of the first page or two here suggests others get the same problem. I suspect this is a beta issue and as such waiting for the final build of the current version may bring the fixes required.
Have you tried making a RAW image of your disk in say Alcohol 120 on a real PC and then using Daemon Toolz to mount that image under windows in parallels ? That may provide a solution.

As for the phone support, I cant be sure, but I suspect that it wont include betas.
