    Hello,
I have 2 parallel desktop licenses, and copy from time to time the ppm file from desktop to my laptop (and I use 'copied').

With Windows 10 and Microsoft account, my username in the pvm stays now the same as in the original ppm file (and in the c:/user the username is not the mac name of the laptop, but of the desktop original file).
I had the impression that in the past in Windows my mac name and username were adapted during installation to my real username of my laptop, but this does not happen 'anymore'.

    So as summary:
    * on desktop I use as macname : myimac
    * on laptop I use as macname : mymobilemac
    * After copying ppm file, on the laptop under c:/users, I still see myimac, instead of mymobilemac. Also my mac physical name did not change in Windows.

Was this changed in Parallels 11, or is this a Windows 10 issue ?

    Thanks for your help,

    Bas

    Hi GPI-INFO,

When you copy the VM from one Mac to another Mac VM and it contents will be copied to the another Mac. When you create a VM on your Mac, Windows user account will be created based on your Mac user profile but if you copy the VM to another Mac, Windows user account will remain same it will not change. If you wish, you can rename the Windows account manually. If you wish to have same user account as Mac by default then you have to create a new VM directly on the second Mac which uses the Mac user profile and creates similar Windows user account. When you copy a VM to another Mac you will be prompted to select copied or moved, if you select copied it will create a new MAC address [NIC] for that VM otherwise when both VM is online it will create a conflict due to same MAC address.

    Thanks,
    Ajith M.
