    Hello!

I wan't to copy a virtual disk (disk1.hdd) into my external USB Portable Hard Disk.

(to have a personnal save of my virtual machine.. Then if I have a probe with my old mac, I can rebuilt my virtuals Linux and XP machines with the virtual disk.)

So, when I start the copy, Mac OS X stop the processus.

How can I copy the virtual disk? Do I use a special software, and not the mac os X Cmd + C, cmd + V ?

Thanks a lot for your answer!

You can actually just copy this .hdd file with usual copy/paste (Cmd + C, cmd + V).

The only possible reason why this would not work, as I can see, is if the virtual machine's hard disk image is quite big (approximately more than three Gb) and the Portable Hard Disk you have is formatted as FAT32.
This is the limitation this format has.
