I've just downloaded the trial version of parallels and the trial version of windows. The first thing I tried to install was Corel Draw X6. I get an error that the setup.xml file cannot be loaded. I then tried to install my Bernina Embroidery software which also uses an embedded version of Corel Draw essentials and recieved the same error. But, the rest of the program intalled fine. I have searched for solutions and have found people who also had this problems years ago but never saw a solution. There have been couple of solutions suggested. One was to update net framework. I have done the latest updates to windows. The other was to give parallels more memory 8 GB should be enough - my mac has 32 .
I realize this is an old program but it does run fine on my old pc with the lates updates. The whole reason for getting parallels was to run this Bernina software.
    Any suggestions?

Solved! Just thought I would answer my own question in case anyone has the same problem. It turned that I had to wait till I was in windows to attach my external dvd drive. Once I was in windows, when the drive was attached, a window popped up asking if I wanted to attach device to mac or windows. It then procedded to map the dvd drive on windows (F:) rather than a network drive (W:). All is well.
