    Hi,

I've been running Parallels for a while to give me access to some windows apps under OSX, however, I'd now like to setup a Linux guest to some PHP/MySQL development work.

    1) I'm currently using bridged networking which gives my guest an IP address from the DHCP server my Mac is using. I'd prefer that only my Mac can access my guest, and, my guest always has a static IP address. What type of networking do I need to do this? So my guest and host are on their own network (but the Mac can still access the main network). All of my other options for networking are grayed out in the VPS.

    2) Is there any way I can get copy and paste between the Linux guest and the Mac host without Parallels releasing the Parallel Tools for Linux?

    Thanks

    Andrew

    Hello Andrew,

    1) I think you should to try "shared networking" mode.

    2) Unfortunately, there is no way to copy-paste without tools.
