My Windows (Win 7) laptop has crashed, the harddisk is still OK. therefore I cannot use the standard importer as I cannot install software anymore.
I would like to connect the physical harddisk via a SATA to USB converter to my macbook and import the data this way.
Has anyone experience in setting up a virtual machine this way? Is this even possible?

Hi MarkV3, you can connect to your working physical hard disk to your Mac to transfer data and please check out this article to know more about NTFS partition on Mac. You have to create a new Windows virtual machine and then move your existing Windows PC data.
