    Hi All:

New to the Mac world and trying to get Parallels / my old windows OS up and running on my new 24'' iMac.

Installed Parallels and created a windows virtual machine yesterday using the recovery CD that came with my old Windows XP desktop. Parallels is now running Windows ok in coherence mode (though I'd love to figure out how to turn that off).

At any rate I think I erred in doing that before running the Parallels Transporter. Installed the transport agent on my Windows PC which is connected to the same router as my iMac -- it detected and started the file transfer fine. It was at about 40% last night, I went to bed and woke up and I got a message that the transfer agent had stopped.

There's a 'C Harddisk' on my desktop that appears to contain most if not all of the files from my Windows PC, but somehow none of those apps or docs show up in the windows installed VM (I suspect because I did it from the installation CD in advance of the migration?) Because it says it stopped short (though it appears many if not all of the docs / files transferred) what should I do -- delete the partially migrated 'c' hard drive, or just re-connect (thinking of buying a firewire to make the process faster).

Any help anyone can give is appreciated.
