I was following this issue previously, but I'm still having a problem, so not sure if it's resolved or not.

EVERY time I enter Crystal Mode, the Windows 7 vm the option on the Task Bar to Auto Hide Task Bar gets turned on (think this is slightly different than the issue I read about Coherence mode in another thread.)

And, it's not just when I restart the vm, it's every time I enter or re-enter Crystal mode. I have to click on the Parallels icon, select Windows Start Menu, Right Click on the Start Menu to select Properties, then clear the check on the Task Bar tab for Auto Hide Task Bar.

This wouldn't be much of an issue, other than the fact that if it doesn't get de-selected, a bar flashes across the bottom of the screen just above the dock every couple of minutes. Very distracting.

I recall a thread on the flashing bar, but I haven't seen anyone report that this keeps resetting the selection in the Properties.

    Running:
    Mac OS X 10.6.2
    Windows 7 vm
Parallels Desktop for Mac 5 - Build 5.0.9310

I notice this only happens on the VM that I created from scratch....

the vm that i imported does not seem to do this. Have you found a solution?

    still no response

    Robert,

Your response is the only response that I've gotten to this request since January. The support team hasn't even indicated they are aware of the issue.

Seriously considering going back to vmware at this point, as this is only 1 of several issues I've reported with detailed information that has not gotten a response.

    Very disappointing.

I would think that we should be able to disable the ability for it to change the setting by disabling though a group policy, but I can only find the "disable autohide" for XP.

Any chance that you have Outlook running when this happens? I am wondering if it may be the taskbar notifications that it flashes. I am trying to disable my notifications and see what happens.
    Cheers,
    Rob
