How does one cut and paste from a software program running on Windows XP in Parallels directly to Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac in the OS X platform (10.4.8)? Right now, when I cut/copy in Windows XP it first goes to TextEdit and then from TextEdit I have to cut/copy and paste into MS Word. It would be great if I could just cut/copy/paste directly from Windows XP software programs to MS Word for Mac without having to go to TextEdit first. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Standard cut and paste commands in Windows (CNTL-C, etc) will get material into the Clipboard. Click on the Mac program -- eg Word for Mac -- and then use the correlative Mac cut and past commands (COMMAND-V for paste for instance). The only difference is that Windows uses CNTL plus another keystroke, whereas Mac uses COMMAND plus the same additiona keystrokes. The COMMAND key is also known as the Apple Key because it has an Apple on it. It will be just to the right and left of your spacebar on a standard Mac keyboard. Reverse the sequence -- using the correct keyset for each platform -- and you can cut and paste from Mac into Windows.
