Deepnet/Dualshield 2 factor compatability

Can someone clarify the future direction of 2 factor authentication in XG ? With the introduction of RADIUS support in the latest release of XG, does this mean that the intended way forward as far as 2 factor authentication will be via RADIUS in the longer term. We have been holding off migrating to Dualshield (the successor to Deepnet) given it is currently not integrated into XG with previous posts suggesting this would be built into version 11 in Q1 of this year.

With 10.5 coming out with RADIUS, just wondering whether this is the way forward and any tight integration with particular 2 factor products will likely be deminishing.

    Thanks

As far as I know it is possible to integrate with any 2 factor auth. now that is supporting RADIUS. E.g. integration with Quest Defender, that we tried at one customer side worked just fine.

Thanks and I can see why RADIUS would be seen as longer term solution. Just keen to know if Dualshield is going to get similar integration to Deepnet or expected to rely on the RADIUS method moving forward.

    Thanks

I don't think that there is any need for deeper integration with DualShield than connecting it via the RADIUS protocol.
I'm curious, are you missing any particular features from DualShield authentication when using RADIUS with it?

As you can see from the manuals the integration into deepnet is reasonably comprehensive (access to different authentication methods etc)

Just wanted to know if DualShield was going to get the same level of integration or RADIUS was the way to go.
