I am running Build 8.0.18608, (Revision 898384; July 17, 2013) of Parallels on my Mac. I have a Win 8 and a Win 7 VM. I have a script that I run to copy emails to Evernote. Until this week, it invoked the Mac version of Evernote and did its job nicely. Suddenly, this week, the icon changed to the Evernote w/ the red parallel bars, and when I run the script, if I don't have my VM open, it tries to launch it so Evernote on Windows can field the script comman. It works...but I don't run the VM often, and really don't want it to work this way. It's easy to change the default app on a mac if it is set for a file...you just have to go into the file's properties, do and open-with, select the other version of the app, and have it applied to all. But, since this is not a file-association default, I can't figure out how to change the OS X default app for Evernote. I'm assuming something in Parallels made this change. How do I change this back?
Same for me too I have the same issue - it happened to me a couple of months ago but I can't remember how I fixed it! Seems to have come back since I upgraded to version 9. James
Tech support gave me the answer...turn off sharing for both Mac and PC in Parallels, close the VM, run my AppleScript (and it worked against the Mac version) reopen the VM and run the script again to make sure it works. Worked like a charm.
