I've used the product for a year and now running into a lot of problems. I've decided to delete Parallels from my one year old Mac and use a Surface Pro for Windows apps. I opened this support ticket

I've decided to stop using Parallels since it stopped working and it is a headache to fix. I assume I can follow these instructions:
    1. Shut down your virtual machine and quit Parallels Desktop. (Unnecessary since it won't start.)
    2. Open your Applications folder and drag the Parallels Desktop icon into the Trash.
    3. Empty the Trash.
    4. Reboot your Mac.
    5. Reclaim disk space using the following: https://kb.parallels.com/en/117333
Please confirm as I don't want to further damage my system. Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, I received a canned support response with the same articles that I'd already read. I followed the first 4 steps and having trouble deleting all traces of the product set. I still have the Windows apps, links, and other code used by Parallels. I want it all gone so I can have a clean MacOS system. I'd prefer to not reformat my MacBook and start all over. I'd just like to be rid of Parallels.

Assistance via this forum would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, could you please share with us what kind of Windows apps would you like to remove?
    Did you remove your VM?

I went ahead and wiped my MacBook Pro and won't use Parallels anymore. Thanks!

Maybe a little bit too late but maybe someone may profit from this. After you did everything what's written there, follow these next steps:
    1. Press the Cmd + Shift + G shortcut when you're on the desktop. Alternatively, click Go > Go to Folder from the menu bar.
    2. Type in ~/Library/ in the search bar and hit Return (or Enter).
    3. Find the Parallels folder.
    4. Control-click the Parallels folder and select Move to Trash to delete the folder.
And than all your residual Mac files from ~/Library/ will be removed. Now, head to the following directories and remove similar leftover files:
    • ~/Library/Preferences
    • ~/Library/Caches
    • ~/Library/WebKit
    • ~/Library/Group Containers
    • ~/Library/Containers
Finally, delete these files from the Trash as well.
    Done ;)
    Best, COE
